For my birthday this year this is what my husband gave me the above nativity. The only thing I truly collect.

The first year I moved here, to Washington state, I stole a little tiny snowman nativity off my mother-in-laws shelves because she had it and I collect them and she really doesn't and well...I just did. I did it right in front of her.

That makes it ok.

Imagine my surprise when God sent me my first foster child today and as I was unpacking the very meager belongings of this little 7 year old and I find the rag tag pieces of this very same snowman nativity in the backpack.

Right before Easter.

This kid insisted that the little wise men had to be set up on the book shelf right next to the night light...yep, fits right in here.

God is good!

  2. It's such a lovely thing to collect. And i for one believe that your foster child was meant just for you.I think 'the nativity coincidence' is no coincidence. Your fullfilling your destiny. How wonderful. Your heart full of love, shared amongst the most needed. Congratulations on your new addition.
