BUTTERMILK

friendship of equal lengths

melts buttery and sideways

over life's plate

lingering in the crevices

quietly accepting syrup

nudging fate, stubbornly

refusing to mix

with love's fuzzy warmth

This is lovely. I read it several times and I pondered it quite awhile. I would like a signed copy of your book :-)!! xox

    intriguing.
    a friendship without love?
I don't know why, but this poem reminds me
of, marriage. You know, when two people who
love eachother get mad at one another.
They get stubborn, refusing to budge.
    love can't live there.
    sad.

I kind of feel like that today. And the only answer to it is Pancakes smothered in that warm syrup to fill those angry crevices of mine.
