I have been keeping something secret from you all.
Holding it all to myself (with a small exception) and not wanting to risk the embarrassment of sure failure. I will get plenty of pink slips and no thank you notices.
I realized though that I am also stealing some of my own joy by doing this.
Not living fully in the moment and this is something that I talk against all the time.
So I am taking the plunge and sharing my big old secret here and now:
I have been submitting my poetry and prose for publishing.
Real publishing in literary journals, magazines and very select contest.
There, I spilled my news all over the internet.
Now you know why you have seen no new poems from me, they can't be published for some of the places I have been submitting to, not even in my OWN blogs.
Boy, I feel so brave and grown up.
I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all

Jodi...
ReplyDeleteInvest in Poet's Market and Novel & Short Story Writer's Market (both are books) which I bought off Amazon.com for pretty reasonable. Research your market very carefully and submitt your work to the RIGHT market.
Follow directions, which is hard for a rule breaker like me.
There is also a Playwrite Market I believe.
