I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all
Color frees my soul
To me it is a beautiful thing...A perfect ending. The giraffe looks right at home! Can you see the monkey in the palm tree???
Man I love my home. (I never thought I'd be able to paint again.)
So what do you think? Like living in a box of crayons, eh?

It looks great! But now, of course, the rest of the vanilla walls cry out for color...
ReplyDeleteI know......but we are weekend warriors. It is all about baby steps for us.
ReplyDeleteFantabulous! I just got our second coat of paint on...man you are fast!!!
ReplyDeleteYAY... looks pretty styling to me! Good for you :-).
ReplyDeleteOh it looks great! Good for you. It is true color is food for the soul and letting that inner child come out and express is a gift to everyone. Well done!

Let's see here. When I think of the color red, I think of love, lips, joy, sex, happiness, laughter, smiles, dancing, hearts, passion, and a few more positive things. Yep, red suits you and your home beautifully! (And, dang, it really looks great!)

Very nice! I have been toying around with idea forEVER of painting the door to my writing room red. You've got me beat on two counts: you actually acted on your idea and you painted a whole lot more than just a door! Man, that's brave!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI will take the crayon box anyday!
One of those rooms where you walk in and say "Ahhh"
So glad this filled you with such joy!!!
Peace
Jo
Very nice! I really do like it. Like a great splash of color.

Oh Christina, the kitchen is beautiful! I love the red and how all the other colors fit so well with the intensity. You did a GREAT job! And in some strange way, the giraffe is also perfect standing in your kitchen. You are sooooo much fun! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Mom
What a glorious thought - living in a box of crayons!! Your kitchen really makes me happy, Christina! I see the monkey and the giraffe looks so neat there! I think it is so important to be happy in our surroundings... for them to be an extension of ourselves. Now I need to go paint...xox

Christina, Christina. Not only is the room beautiful--we all knew it would be--but these words are beautiful and completly make this entry. They make ALL the "red kitchen series" entries.
Really just the perfect tucking in and kiss goodnight. You're scared about jumping into this writing thing? You're scared? Hon, you're a natural...
But P.S. it would be awful nice if I didn't have to stare at my own face every time I come back to check on your comments...

"Artfully" done. Tell Charley his friends are nearby and praying for his aunt and him.
