Yesterday I was informed that my postion is going to be elimanted in six weeks because the owner can't have two office managers.
The other one is his 22 year old daughter-in-law.
I am the logical choice.

Now I have four kids, MS and need a new job. (We still need my income, almost to the point where we dont but for now we do.)
I am scared.

Look at it this way: You have managed to do just fine and work things out this far in your life, why would the future be any different. At least you have notice. Hey! I just had a thought. Move here and take my job. I'm tired of it. :-)

That same shit happened to me many years ago when I was terminated from a kitchen manager position in favor of the owner's brand new son-in-law. Which is one of the reasons why I loathe and detest working for small family businesses...

We face the same issue...Jer got word of huge layoffs...This may make our Moving come much sooner than we anticipated...eeks.
As I told him, we can not change was is...we can just take it, roll with it.
You are an intelligent lady...Maybe it is time for a new venture? SOmething fresh? Something that will help the family along, yet afford you more time with the childen and Charlie.??
