The thing I always liked most about my Mom was when she said those motherly things that did not make a bit of sense, like:
"Just wait 'til you get your own kids."
Okay, I get it now.
Enough said.
Zero to four in nothing flat.
Wow! Has anyone seen my mind?
The good news is I had to go buy 9 pairs of pants because my old ones were literally FALLING off my butt.
xxooxxooxxoo
I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all

In front of a Paradise Valley Home, many moons ago, a desperate young woman sat in a station wagon with a loaded handgun and a broken heart....

ReplyDeleteLost a couple pounds chasing all those kids around, eh? LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhen are you gonna pack them all up and come see me at my cafe???? :-]
Good for you!!! You sound like you have your hands full... Do not ever be afraid to say NO more... they did the same thing to my parents and because they wanted them (kids) so badly, they were afraid to say no. Sometimes I think it was an injustice to have so many, due to the fact you can not give them the attention they need and deserve. Kids need one on one... I can tell that with my own. If they are family I completley understand!!! That makes sence... keeping them all together :) that is very important.
ReplyDeleteI miss you daily coffee talk and wish you had more time to reflect... But I completley understand more than you know!!! Take care and good luck,
xoxoxo
Nothing more gratifying than finding that your pants no longer give your heartburn!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home and Amen! about parental wisdom taking time to suddenly "make sense".

It's wonderful that you have finally achieved your goal. As to that phrase "Just wait until you have kids of your own"' my mother said it with so much bitterness and so frequently that I decided that I would not have children, and made sure to marry someone who also did not want children.
ReplyDeleteBe careful what you say to your children; they are listening more closely than you know.

0 to 4 is quite a feat. you both are helping God's children and that is a wonderful act....hope your grandma made it through her surgery fine and that she is on the mend.
ReplyDeleteHey Christina,
ReplyDeleteI hope things are going well for your Grandma and Mom! I know the feeling....kids can sure keep you on your toes! Make sure not to over do yourself and get some rest. Take care.
Jaime
Hee hee, love peeping in on you. Waiting to hear what mama said.
