My MS

There are times when I really wish my MS would go away and leave me alone. Times when I wish that it was someone else's disease and not a thing that I had to face.

Like tonight.

I do not wish to have my shot because it is in my right thigh and that is painful for me because I happen to be fairly muscular~it hurts in muscle. Thinking about it makes me tense up and then my stupid muscles get tight, which ironically makes it hurt more.

And my feet hurt. Man I feel like such a darn whiner....But they do hurt. And I am sick of them hurting. And I am sick of thinking about them hurting.

I wish MS was like a really bad cold and I could get better.


But whatever you do, do not pity me damn it. I would hate that too.

Tell me to buck up.

Tell me it will be ok.

Sing me itsy bitsy spider.

But DO NOT pity the poor little sick woman.

Good grief.

  2. Oh oh ... MS is being nasty ...

    Well, here's our advice.

    #1 break the needles!
    #2 go to the bathroom mirror and turn your back on the MS.
    #3 sit around and eat chocolate bon-bons. Douse that muscle!
    #4 buy a MS dolly and beat the hell of of her! Well, at least let her run away :)
    #5 Buy really fluffy slippers so it won't hurt if you start kicking furniture in frustration!
    #6 Pick up a book on someone else's life to better appreciate yours!
    #7 Tape record your voice saying, "I'm such a whiner, and I think this is ok, cuz God still loves me!"
    #8 Cry
    #9 Ask for a session on Dr. V's Couch.

    #10 Call your Mommy :)

    Thadda girl ... you done the night let's look at a new day break with a good old fashioned cup of coffee! You name the time and we'll be vicariously sitting with you as the horizon turns bright with reds and loverlyness!

  4. Sweetie, I was going to sing you Itsy Bitsy Spider but then I read what Ayn wrote.

    Read Ayn's 1-10 and know that we are right there with you. Then, like she said...call me!

    Hey, I know what you could do to take your mind off the shot. Learn how to play Itsy Bitsy Spider on the flute. Then have Charley give you the shot while you play the flute. It might work...try it.

    Christina, I'm so sorry to hear that your feet are also hurting. I wish I could take away your MS and all the pain that is associated with that awful disease. I hate it that you hurt and I hate it that you have to have shots.

    Close your eyes, wrap your arms around yourself and feel me holding you. Know that I hold you tenderly in my heart every day. And that I pray for God to help man find a cure for MS, so that you won't have to suffer any more.

    Climbed up without a stop
    She spun a silky web
    Right at the very top
    She wove and she spun

    I could have written this. Just reading it helped me to vent for the week. For me, it's Wednesdays (my stomache!). Notice how the butt isn't so bad? I don't mind Monday and Tuesday shots in the ass; I guess we have less muscle there!? :) Now let's suck it up and move onto something else. No pity here.
