My husband is a true gem...since we got to our new home he has been searching for his police scanner. I could not understand why he'd want one but when you live in a small town you have to have some diversions. In Phoenix a scanner would not have been any fun because what would the chances of knowing someone be? Slim and slimmer. But here in this town....well just about every call is someone we know or the relative of someone we know. What a crack up it is. The big call of the night so far has been a noise complaint in Kennewick. Roll out the flashing lights and the siren....hey here comes "the man." (Also, please bear in mind that it is Saturday night, I am blogging and listening to a police scanner.) I thought it would be boring but I am actually getting hooked on this scanner. Help me, I'm turning into a hick.

A hick. LOL! Yeah, the highlight of the night is listening to neighbors get busted.
Too funny! :-) ---Robbie

My gosh, I bet it's like soap central, lol. I bet a lot of people in town have it, too!

How funny. But I guess in a small town a police scanner would be interesting. Kind of like your own personal soap opera!

Seems strange to read about Kennewick, since we lived there for awhile. It is small but I loved it. If you haven't, and want to enjoy some beautiful streets and homes, visit Walla Walla, one day. You'll enjoy it. Hugs. *Barb*

Yea! Just caught up on reading your journal...trying to take a journal a day...I miss the visiting and reading. How do you like Washington in comparison to Arizona... they both have their own sense of beauty. Do you like the small town atmosphere? Prayers and blessings to you...gloria

By Kennewick I am assuming Kennewick, Washington. If so welcome to The Pacific Northwest. What a change from Arizonia. Most of us Northwester's want to move to Arizonia!

Those police scanners can be fun. I remember years ago on AOL there was a link I would go to that would allow you to listen to police scanners in different states. It was so interesting to hear the different types of calls. I don't know what happened to that site!
