the echos of maturity....


I have a problem.......admitting it is the first step, right? Right?

My husband and I are not very good adults. What I mean is that we can not be trusted with the simplest of things.......we NEVER return our stupid movies that we rent and end up paying late fees like they are going out of style.

Usually we just buy movies instead of renting them because, well because we aren't responsible enough to remember that we've rented them. And having Guido the Late Rental Movie guy call and leave threatening voice mails does no good. (Makes us giggle like school girls but does not get us to return the movies.)

On Wednesday, October 27nd, we rented six movies for after Charley's scope test......I watched and returned four of them. The other two movies have become my albatross....the ultimate symbol of laziness. The Big Fish.....it must be a good movie but gosh darn it I just haven't watched it yet and by now I "own" the thing so at least I ought to WATCH it before I take it back. Can't even remember the name of the other movie sitting across the room but it won awards and stuff so it must be worth the late fees too.

We've gotta owe 50 bucks in late fees and we have taken to leaving the house in disguises just so the movie repo man doesn't catch us.

Shame on you. LOL If that is the worst thing you and your husband do --well, not to worry. You'll never wind up in striped uniforms, if they are stlll used. Big hugs. *Barb*
