Stolen from Karen today.....
Word of the day:
assuagement: to make less intense
Free form writing about Karen's word of the day...
She was actually looking forward to confronting her best friend this time…unlike the many times before. She checked in the mirror at the front door before grabbing her keys and making a quick dash across town to settle things with Mabel. Ever since that night last month, they had not been able to talk to each other from the heart. She hated this loss...it seemed more than the loss of a friend and more like the loss of self.
Her past was haunting her still and this talk was to be an assuagement of the pain. How could one woman procure such despair? How could she find it in herself to forgive her best friend for this?

So, can you write like that (above) any time you get a new word? Pretty wonderful stuff, and I'm notoriously cheap with praise.
Thanks for the surprise visit. There are journals this good I didn't know about? I have to get out more. Paul

You write so well. On way to assuage pain, is forgiveness.

I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all
