So we are moving.
Big deal, lots of people move.
We are moving from Washington to Florida (or Georgia, the jury is still out) in order to access better mental health for our kids. Kids with trauma do not transition well in daily living, like from playtime to mealtime. One of our kids does not comprehend audio ques and requires visual or tactical ques in order to follow threw with what is expected. This is for every. little. thing. life throws at the child, whether it is getting dressed, adhering to the safety plan or brushing teeth. Words are like the crashing noises of a opera in a language not comprehended.
And we have decided it would be a great idea to uproot them from the only stable home they have ever had and move them clear across the United States. Yikes.
And we need to get there soon, before school starts. I have to implement 504c and IEP plans, get our DD hours and make sure they can ride the special buses required to keep everyone safe.
Ironically, they are very excited for new beginnings, only I seemed scared,
I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all
