Still thankful

Thanksgiving ushers in The Holidays and helps us to reconnect to our roots, for the most part. For some people it serves as a reminder of what has been lost and for others it is a symbol of all that may be.

Thanksgiving is one of My Holidays.

My birthday of sorts, not my real birthday but yet it is a day that I celebrate being alive. I celebrate being giving one more chance to make a difference in this world.

To dance on the ocean's edge.

To sing off key and not care who hears me.

To smile at old people and small children, just because it makes them smile back.

To stand out in the rain because it's only hair.

To eat desert first.

To say "yes" to my husband and kids.

To tell the people I love, I love them most.

Nine years ago, one November 25th, God saw fit for me to survive a brain tumor.

Can not ask for much more than that to be thankful for, if you ask me.

xxoo

Merry Christmas.....it is coming you know.

(My shopping is almost done as of now. Do you hate me?)
