Childhood

night stars glint

gently off and on

reminders of yesterday

when Pooh reigned story-land

and Puff the Magic Dragon

alluded to fairy-tales

not illicit drug use

All stories began with

A Long Time Ago, In a Land Far, Far Away

and today existed softly

and Happily Everafter

Beautiful. Just stopped by to say hello........If only, happily ever after existed here on earth. I'm with you.....but we know this isn't heaven.

That's beautiful and I too loved Puff The Magic Dragon and in a Land Far, Far Away, and Happly Ever After. Oh that life was but a Fairy Tale or at least a story we could control....well, maybe not.

  3. A dreamy poem........I like it very much. And I hope your "today" existed softly.

  4. I read in that poem the age of innocence, that ends with the cynicism that comes from getting older. But hopefully your days still exist softly, and, as the night stars gently sparkle, they shall send you the twinkling rays of everlasting happiness.

  6. Nice!

The "puff the magic dragon" line made me smile.

    P. S. I like your new(ish) background. It's much easier to read your entries now.
