New site I found from Deb...
Today feels incomplete. It's not something I can put a name to but just a vague emptiness floating thru the room. You know, that feeling you get right before you sigh? Humpf.
I was wandering around trying to cure this feeling and found something that seems like fun, its a website with a new words on Sunday and then one writes about it for five minutes. No rules. Oh Yeah!!! Oh Yeah!!! So without further ado here is this Sunday's word:
Coated
From the ice of winter she glared out at me while perched on the dirty, trash filled bus stop bench. I'm certain that she was shouting profanity thru her toothless snarl, but with the windows up who could tell? Besides, it was probably something derogatory about my white heritage or my shiny green BMW. Or maybe it wasn't about me. Maybe it was the demons that coated her every thought with pure seething hate. Three cars up the light turned and slowly my car inched past her self pity and into the day looming ahead. The dog needed to be groomed, the kids said something about the milk being gone and I know that that man was mumbling this morning but I'll be if it made any impression on me. I retained nothing since the Today Show was on and damn I am fixated on that woman's hair...it's all I saved of this morning. In my side view mirror crazy woman lifted me a one finger salute and boarded the bus coated only in pain.

Wow, that's a great link. I think I'm gonna do the exercises myself. I really need to stretch my writing muscles. Thanks for the heads up.
Btw, that little bit you wrote about the word was excellent. =P

Wow, I went off on a trip when I followed the link. I noticed the site was old but followed one of the links there that lead me to a site that has a list of Entry trigger sites so I posted a link on my journal so I can use it for future reference. It's amazing what one little click can do for you. Thanks Christina! :-) ---Robbie

I started journaling because of class I took in 10th grade. Our teacher would do things like this - give us a word and we would write whatever came to mind. I'm definitely going to check the site out. Thanks for finding it. And....great entry in response!!! :-) ---Robbie

Very interesting indeed.
But then I looked to my right and saw your picture. You look just like a friend of mine's daughter. I have a picture of her on my desktop and next time I use it, I'll try to find it and show it to you.

I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all
