The worm hole lead me to Cynthia Sorts, who always has great journals to read, and I picked out the above one because the title seems to fit my current life. Midlife Matters
I recommend them both. The quote above is profound, is it not?

It Is a daily struggle to Not let the Monster get a grip on you. Journaling helps doesn't it? And so does Nyquil...Feel good...(((hugs)))

By the time we reach middle age, we ALL have some kind of handicap...some THING that, if it were known to all, would inspire pity. Pity is kind of an ugly emotion. How would you describe it..."You have something wrong with you, and I don't...?" It's almost like there can't help but be a smidgeon of gloating (or relief) attached to it, that the one who is being pitied picks up on immediately. Nope...don't care for it at all... Lisa :-]
