Happy Thanksgiving...
holidays past, present and future

Seven years ago today (don't cha just love stories that begin like this?) I discovered what true peace really means. What true thankfulness means. The kind of Thanks Giving that comes from the bowels of despair truly can not be matched with the superficial stuff being marketed by card stores everywhere.

See today is an anniversary that I celebrate rather quietly and mostly by myself because I am the only one who seems to remember the exact day....it is the anniversary of my brain surgery and the day that my hopefulness truly came into being. I discovered that God is a wonderful craftsman because He has made people for specific purpose: some of us are artists, some of us are singers, some are writers, some are teachers, some are actors and some of us are doctors. I am grateful that I have meet some of the very best doctors and have had them operate on me.

I am ever grateful for my new life that began seven years ago today. For the astounding peace that has been my cocoon that I call God. For the healing of faith and for the peace of family.

My last memory before being wheeled into surgery is of my family praying for God's guidance of the surgeon's hands. Thankfully, the prayer worked.

Have a wonderful holiday and please remember that sometimes tragedy serves a real purpose which may not even be in your life but in the results it has on someone else.

Love and Peace, Christina

I did know that it was around this time, as we met in the flesh the summer after this all happened, remember? What a blessing for me, adding such a wonderful friend and person to my life.
I am truly blessed to call you 'Friend"
