The freedom of flight has always been alluring to the human soul. The very thrill of shooting thru the air or lazily floating on a warm current is enough to make most of us sigh with longing. Wistful desire.

This particular bird is even more of a siren song to me since it is a small part of one of my mother's murals. To me it represents freedom and security all in the same breath. Night flying just to prove that Seagulls CAN do it.

Just love the way you express yourself. My youngest sister has a collection of Seagulls. You'd love them, I know. Hugs, *Barb*

People tell me that seagulls are nothing but dirty old garbage-eaters. But I LOVE them. Not just how they fly, but their raucous calls, the way they waddle across the sand, the way they look you straight in the eye when they beg for a handout. They are what they are, and they're NOT shy about it. Lisa :-]

I loooooooooove seagulls and most people don't. I can watch them for hours. Another reason I love living on Long Island, NY. Thanks for sharing your wonderful words. : )
