Officially at FIVE Forever Children....one more than I prayed for, three more than Charley prayed for...we are beginning to wonder if maybe God does that new math.

FINALLY!!!!!!!

I can now talk about and post pictures of one of our "other" children because this morning, at 8:30am, this darling little baby boy became part of our forever family. We had less than a week notice of the date that it would happen, so getting our act together was a challenge, to be sure.
How challenging I can hear you thinking?
Just yesterday, when you kind folks were probably working and stuff, I was happily at the mall with my 6 (six) kids (yes, six kids) shopping for adoption day outfits. Now, if you have taken one or two kids shopping it is apparent that taking 6 kids anywhere is surely an act of craziness. We would not have been there if it was not a must that we look really, truly cute for court this morning. At one point Tamara was having a complete temper tantrum and announced that she was "sooooooo angry at (me.)"
I said, "That is a very good expression of your emotions and I am proud of you for that, but you may not talk to me like with that tone of voice and if you do not stop, I am not buying you a new outfit." The ladies around us almost pissed their pants trying not to laugh.
I will download the pictures from today a bit later on, for now here is a few bits of his life to this point; we got Baby Charley fresh from the hospital at two days old to today at just over 13 months.
When we choose his name, after my husband because it may be our only opportunity to name a child, we told his birth family the story of how my husband got his name. My husband is named after his great grandpa on his mother's side, who just so happened to adopt my husband's grandmother, who had been abandoned. The birth family had also wanted the same middle name we as the one choose because it is after his birth grandfather.
Serendipity.
We are the only family he has ever known.

Congratulations on making it Forever!!
