Well I did not get to see the little critter that bit me cuz I was reachin' in to a cupboard where he was nesting and because of the whole MS thing did not even know I had been bit. That is one of the downside of my MS, I have less that 50% feeling in my limbs so I can not feel spiders when they crawl on me and I get bit by the lovely creatures often.
I hate spiders.
H.A.T.E. them
bastards.
bloody hell.
Yes, I cussed in my blog.
My blog.
It wasn't until the bite started to fester that I even knew I had gotten bit; however, judging by the tissue reaction it was probably a brown spider, not a recluse.
I hope it died a slow and agonizing death in that dark place spiders go.

We have fall color in my part of the country! I love having young eyes to share it with because the joy of having someone exclaim:
"Look! God painted the trees last night!"
just can not be beaten by anything I have experienced yet in my life.
God bless you all! xxoo
I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all

When Theresa Williams first started blogging, back at the "other" place, she did a fabulous job of reaching out to people and try...
Spider bites cause all kinds of trouble. Last fall I woke up to an awful headache/tightness in my head. Later in the day the left side of my neck swelled. By Saturday, I had to go to the emergency room because the swelling was so bad. They gave me penicillan and a good scare, saying that if the swelling didn't go down, I might have cancer. Slowly, the swelling did go down, and then I noticed the two bite marks on my neck (fangs?) and realized I must have been bitten by a spider as I slept. The pain was horrible. The lymph nodes swelled in my neck and all around my ear and I had lumps on my head where the swelling was also severe. Very miserable, so I can relate.
ReplyDeleteI used to hate spiders, but now I just kind of live and let live. But I've never been bit by a poisonous one...
ReplyDeleteIsn't fall gorgeous? :-]
Sorry I've been gone for so long. I'm finally (kinda) getting back into the blogging community.
ReplyDeleteI think of spiders as "good" because I know they eat other bugs I don't want around. But then, I've never had a bite. That would probably change my perspective dramatically.
Wow... I do not like things that bite either... last year I was bit by a scorpion and it was very painful... and I knew the moment I was bit... so did everyone else in my home and on my block... Joe started to yell at me about walking around with no shoes... but I was wearing shoes... sandals never the less the sucker bit the top of my foot with his long tail... be very careful and watch it closely... I've see horrible things in the ER from patients who thought they were tougher than spiders and then had to have skin graphs.
ReplyDeleteMiss your blogs...
Just got back from Napa Valley and San Francisco... talk about painted trees and vines... WOW!!!
I will post the pictures soon.
Love ya,

I love the kid comments...
Okay, a), I imagine it must be Gorgeous there... we're still having 90+ here. b)boo hiss on the spiderbite. I hope you squashed him into oblivion! My whole vertigo/brain infection/ thing started with some kind of unidentified bite, so I can identify with that loathing much more now.
ReplyDelete.....remember the bees that took over the Suburban out on the back lot??
