Why is it that every time I come to my little blog I simply feel a sense of sadness?
Like I have lost a best friend who was never really my friend at all, like when Lady Di died.
Lately the songs sung on the edge of my abyss have echoed back to me a shallow, hurtful callings into a canyon that I stand in all alone.
I have considered deleting my blogs.
And left them.
I dropped membership in a community blog and was not even noticed. I even deleted my posting there...because I feel invisible in the blog world.
Mostly due to the edited style of my writing lately, the editing out of most of joy leaves a lemon like taste on all my words.
Fickle is the world of blogging.
Fickle.
I dream in color, write poetry, talk about God, parent kids and finally wonder about it all

One year ago today I began to eat differently. It is called the Ketogenic diet and the information is out there for free ...

I believe in God, I know, I know...some of you are shocked. Dismayed by the news. How could she do this to us, you ask? An intelligent wo...

I have kind of felt the same way lately, Christina. A lot of my favorite bloggers, like YOU for instance, rarely visit and/or rarely comment when you do. There are a lot of folks out there, like you with your new family, Robin with her new venture into seminary, and even me with the cafe, who have less time and thought to put into the whole blogging thing.
ReplyDeleteBut I've decided that I write. It's what I do...it's an integral part of who I am. And I am not going to let my current busyness, or the presence or absence of readers/friends stop me from writing. I think I am finally done with the living and dying by the comment and hit count on my blog. I'm just going to write. If people read, fine. If not, oh well.
That said, I hope YOU continue to read, my friend. As I will always read you... :)
I'm saddened by this too, Christina. I know that you, and, sadly enough (but not unusually) other female bloggers are facing problems with stalkers and other people who are so hateful that you can't post about that which is important to you.
ReplyDeleteYou're important to us and we do wish to keep reading you. So, don't give up. We're still here.
For fear that you'll think I'm fickle, I post this comment. :-)
ReplyDeleteI look and look to see if you are there.... Pleasantly surprised to find words... pictures... any shred of evidence to show me your still stirring... I miss your daily coffee with me but will take what I can get... It's not that no
ReplyDeleteone notices you are gone but everyone realizes that this is an extremely busy world with extremely busy families and no one demands anything from someone else that they cannot deliver... (throwing stones in a glass house...) you know what I mean.
Please do not give up... I miss you and hope you continue!
Love ya,
xoxo
As usual your observations are so poignant. On line journals do become intertwined in life.

Hi, Christina
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that the nicest people in this world are so often its targets. I'm sorry to have made the top 10 Vanished Friends list. I miss your wit and your writing, and hope you don't let the world bully you into submission. God gave you a beautiful creative voice. I won't be at all surprised to find you on the best seller list someday.
